First, as a companion Zeke has been extraordinary. Zeke is often in the house but is primarily a kennel dog. Troy finished Zeke’s crate training, house breaking and general discipline training with great success. Zeke has impeccable manners and still has a great personality that is best described as controlled energy. In short, he is a pleasure to be around and is my son’s best friend. Troy’s training yielded a disciplined dog without damaging Zeke’s great personality.
As a hunting companion, Zeke exceeded all expectations in his first year in the field. He hunted with me in my blind as well as on several hunts with professional guides. We shot 93 ducks and geese over Zeke and lost no birds! He was steady in the blind and became a very valuable second set of eyes and ears. In all cases, professional guides remarked about his skills and maturity. Again, Troy’s training skills produced a skilled “meat dog” in his first year of hunting.
Zeke is currently 20 months old. He is now a successfully qualified “Senior Hunter”. Troy has established and implemented training and handling programs that have qualified Zeke as a Senior Hunter well before his 2d birthday. This is an accomplishment that has us easily on course to qualify Zeke as a Master Hunter by the end of 2007.
During the course of our training over the past 16 months, Troy has also trained me. He has shared his knowledge willingly and has helped me develop my own training program and has developed my skills as a handler as well. He is an effective communicator, a patient trainer and generally a skilled professional. He has always treated my dog and me with respect and I am honored to give him my unqualified recommendation.
Please do not hesitate to call me directly if you want to discuss this recommendation in more detail.
